Allow us to get you excited for Concorso d’Eleganza Japan 2026

Concorso d’Eleganza Japan 2026 returns to the breathtaking Yakushiji Temple in Nara on 11–12 April, promising one of the world’s most atmospheric concours experiences. Last year’s official film perfectly captures the event’s unique blend of rare classic cars and ancient architecture.

If ever there were an event capable of making even the most seasoned collectors stop scrolling and start booking flights, Concorso d’Eleganza Japan is surely it. Set once again against the extraordinary backdrop of Yakushiji Temple in Nara, which also happens to be a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Japan’s most spiritually charged historic settings, the 2026 edition promises the sort of atmosphere that feels almost too beautiful to be real.

And if you need a reminder of why this event has so quickly become one of the most alluring dates on the international concours calendar, last year’s official film does the job rather perfectly. It captures that rare combination of serenity and spectacle which defines Concorso d’Eleganza Japan: exquisite classic cars poised amid ancient architecture, the soft theatre of changing light across bodywork, and an atmosphere from the participants and visitors that are unified by their love of beautiful cars.

That, really, is the magic of this event. It is not simply about rarity, provenance, or judges’ clipboards, though all of that matters, it is about context. Few concours in the world can place automotive masterpieces within surroundings as resonant as Yakushiji, where history, craftsmanship, and reverence already hang in the air. The result is something closer to a cultural experience than a conventional car show.

With the event just around the corner on 11 and 12 April, we’re looking forward to seeing the incredible array of classic and collector cars that will show up, and we’ll be bringing you all the stand-out moments across our social media channels.
