Can you believe this BMW R7 homage is based on a new R nineT scrambler?

The Garmisch isn’t the only BMW unicorn to be revived recently. The East Coast motorcycle customisation and restoration workshop Nmoto Design has built a modern-day interpretation of the incredible one-off R7 prototype from 1934, miraculously based on the current R nineT scrambler…

The best of both worlds?

Nmoto’s Nostalgia project sought to provide motorcycle buffs with a modern-day version of the legendary R7, a streamlined Art Deco-era dream bike built just once by BMW in the interwar period, but in a reliable and genuinely usable package. Using an R nineT as its base, Nmoto strips the bike back to its frame before fitting 96 handcrafted pieces that combine to form a faithful homage to the R7, one of the all-time most sensational pieces of motorcycle design. And because of its modern underpinnings, this incredible, innovative custom motorcycle boasts all the creature comforts you’d expect, including LED lights, keyless ignition, adjustable suspension, and a boxer engine with sufficient power for everyday use. The best of both worlds? Why not send Nmoto an R nineT and 39,500 US dollars and find out?
