This is a beautiful Ferrari 400i that was delivered new in 1983 by Ferrari dealer Pozzi in Levallois in France. The car has been very well maintained by the previous owner and is therefore a pleasure to drive. The 1983 Ferrari 400i got a number of attractive upgrades compared to the models from the previous years. The 4.8 liter V12 now produces 315 hp, the panel on which the number plate is mounted is now painted in the color of the car instead of black, the grille now has fog lamps, the dashboard has been improved, the car got other camshafts and exhaust manifolds to deliver the higher power, finally the 400i got new exterior mirrors that were more elegant and also feature a Ferrari logo. This copy has always been cherished by the previous owner. He has not only always kept the car neatly stored inside, but also very well maintained. He bought the Ferrari in 1996 and only recently sold it to us. We can therefore rightly speak of “long term ownership” here.

The bodywork therefore looks beautiful. The sheet metal is all original and beautifully thin. The fits are correct and the paint is also in very good condition. The car is on the original wheels with the correct Michelin TRX tires around it, even the spare wheel is fitted with the correct tire. The bumpers and moldings are also in very good and original condition and fit correctly everywhere.

The interior is fitted with beautifully maintained and original beige leather. The first owner had a special sense of taste. He put the car together in the beautiful color scheme consisting of a metallic silver exterior, beige leather on the seats and a brown dashboard. It gives the 400i an understated luxurious appearance. The 400i is a Ferrari that is especially suitable for covering large distances at speed. The car is therefore also equipped with comfortable seats, a nice steering wheel and in this case an automatic transmission. Furthermore, the dashboard is fully covered with leather, the car has air conditioning and a car radio. All things that increase comfort on board.

The technology of the Ferrari 400i was very progressive for that time. The rear axle is equipped with automatic height control, the car has an automatic transmission and the V12 engine is equipped with mechanical fuel injection. The engine is a piece of art, just as smooth as you would expect from a V12. There is always a sur plus of pulling power available and as the revs increase, the sound also gets better. The engine produces 315 hp and the automatic transmission has three stages. This means that the 400i is still a very smooth car even by today's standards. The previous owner has maintained the car well and has already overhauled the automatic transmission, overhauled the entire K-jetronic system, overhauled the alternator, installed new injectors and of course regularly replaced all fluids.

In short, a beautiful Ferrari 400i in a very attractive color scheme and wonderfully original appearance. Both optically and technically a very good car.
