Black License Plate, Bologna
The Alfa 1900 marks a real industrial revolution, resulting in a clear detachment from the most opulent pre-war models, but without sacrificing glamour, thanks to the proposals of the great coachmen who declined it in numerous wonderful versions. The 1900 debuted at the Turin Motor Show in 1950 and soon after began the creation of the first specimens still in semi-artisanal form, although mass production was already planned. The 1900 is the first Alfa Romeo car equipped with a body integrated directly to the chassis produced in series and is, above all, the first car in which the Alfa Romeo introduces for the first time the 4-cylinder engine, which will then influence the subsequent evolutions. The elegant aesthetics and the larga space, make it one of the family sedans of that era most appreciated by Italians. But the success in sales is mainly due to the sporting fame of the Brand. The famous slogan "The family car wins races" is just a spoiler of the new versions that will soon land on the market. The 1900 Sedan was produced until 1959 in 17,426 units.
