There are moments when a car manufacturer shows exactly what it is capable of. Porsche has done this more than once. In the 1970s with the 911 Carrera RS, in the 1980s with the 959, and at the beginning of this century with the Carrera GT. And then things went quiet for a while, until suddenly, in 2010 at the Geneva Motor Show, a concept car appeared that would later become the 918 Spyder.

Where many manufacturers choose one clear direction, Porsche decided to take a different approach. No compromise between performance and technology, but everything at once. Beneath the surface lies a 4.6-liter V8, high-revving and without turbochargers. Impressive in its own right, but that is only half the story. Porsche combined this engine with a hybrid system featuring two electric motors.

The result is remarkable. Not only on paper, but especially in the way the car responds. All-wheel drive ensures that all that power actually reaches the road. And thanks to rear-axle steering, the car feels surprisingly agile at low speeds and stable and composed at higher speeds. These are the kinds of things you truly notice when driving, and they are what make the difference.

Also interesting: the 918 is capable of recovering energy during braking. Something you would not normally see or feel, yet it ensures that the system continuously supports itself.
And then the design. Low, wide, with lines that immediately make it clear that this is no standard Porsche. The exhaust outlets on top, just behind the seats, are one of those details you keep looking at for a moment longer. Just like the roof: it is removable, allowing you to choose between driving closed or open, depending on the moment.

The example you see here was delivered in Europe, in Germany, and has been meticulously maintained by an official Porsche dealer. With just over 7,000 kilometers, this example has hardly been used and presents in excellent condition. The color combination Basalt Black over Onyx Black with Acid Green accents suits the car perfectly. Subtle where it can be, striking where it should be.

Within the world of modern hypercars, there is often talk of a select group. The 918 Spyder belongs to it without question. With only 918 units produced, this Porsche is truly rare. And with this mileage, virtually in as-new condition.
