Daytona Automobil presents a 2003 Volkswagen Golf R32, a first-generation Mk4 R32 and one of the most original, best-preserved examples we have encountered. Delivered new to its first and only owner on 30 January 2003, the car has remained with that owner ever since, maintained meticulously and kept in extraordinary condition. Photographs of the undercarriage clearly show an exceptional level of preservation, with components presenting far cleaner than typically seen on an R32.

The Mk4 R32 holds a special place in Volkswagen’s history. It introduced the 3.2-litre naturally aspirated VR6 engine, producing 241 hp, paired with a 6-speed manual transmission and Volkswagen’s 4Motion all-wheel-drive system. At launch, it was the most powerful and technically advanced Golf ever built, offering a unique combination of naturally aspirated character, mechanical grip, and the unmistakable VR6 exhaust note that has since become legendary among enthusiasts.

This example is finished in Reflex Silver Metallic, one of the classic R32 colours and a perfect match for the car’s purposeful stance and factory styling details.
