In the series of low budget French myths, the Renault 5 is easily in the top 10. With its 1108cc Cléon-Fonte engine (1,289cc for the first years), this car will have unleashed the passions of collectors. In its five-door GTL version, factory code R1397, it appeared in 1980, 8 years after the first version. Among the equipments it comes with, we can note a cigarette lighter and an ashtray (classic at the time), a watch, front and rear bumpers as well as side protection strips (the same ones that were already on the Renault 4 GTL. Moreover, a front spoiler will appear from 1982. This car is a monument of the French automobile, just like its small and big sisters of the same period.
Bought for 41,600 francs in May 1984, this car is in excellent general condition, both inside and out. The bodywork is sound and free of dents or big scratches. This car has not been damaged. The upholstery is like new. The dashboard, gear knob and door panels are also like new. It has a car radio (cassettes not included).
