Beschreibung
In the late 1960’s, changing market priorities put pressure on Porsche AG to develop a new production model. As fears of a US rear-engined car ban lingered in the air, Porsche executives agreed on the future of the marque being a front-engined, water-cooled V8 four-seater GT. The culmination of these efforts, the Porsche 928, proved a success over 17 years of production.
In 1991, two variants of the Porsche 928 were offered: the 928 S4, with 316hp, and the 928 GT, with 326hp. The 1991 manual-only model remains the rarest GT of all, with only 254 units built that year.
This high-performance 928 GT model was delivered new in Wilkes Barre, Pennysylvania. Between 1996 and 2015, the car continued under the original owner’s stewardship in Chicago until its subsequent sale in California in 2016. The car was then exported to its current owner in Dubai.
Presented in a stunning original Grand Prix White, it is a perfect contender for Radwood and other 80’s and 90’s nostalgia car shows, being the maximum exponent of German luxury and engineering complexity of the time. Under our supervision, the car received a full service in February 2022, as well as minor cosmetic touches to enhance its very original condition. At just under 30,000 miles, this desirable manual is ready to be driven and enjoyed reliably, and perhaps win some awards!
