Dies ist ein außergewöhnlicher, unrestaurierter und im Originalzustand belassener 1969 Porsche 911 E Sportomatic. Der Erstbesitzer holte den Wagen direkt im Werk in Stuttgart im Rahmen einer Werksabholung ab. Nachdem dieser seinen neuen 911 E einige Zeit in Deutschland gefahren hat, brachte er den Wagen zurück in die USA und fuhr ihn quer durchs Land bis in seine Heimat Südkalifornien, wo das Auto sein ganzes Leben lang blieb.

Einige Jahre später bot der Erstbesitzer den Wagen einem Nachbar zum Kauf an, der sich auf Anhieb in diesen exotischen Sportwagen verliebt hatte und regelmäßig kam, um ihn zu bewundern. 1971 schließlich kaufte der Nachbar den Wagen und er blieb einige Jahre in seinem Besitz, bis er sich zum Weiterverkauf entschied.

Man findet nur sehr selten einen Porsche 911 in einem so schönen Originalzustand. Der Motor und das Getriebe haben natürlich matching numbers und die Innenausstattung ist sehr schön original erhalten. Am bemerkenswertesten ist allerdings der exzellente Zustand des Bahama gelben Lacks. Dank des auffällig guten Original-Zustandes dieses Fahrzeugs sieht man sofort, dass der langjährige Zweitbesitzer es mit viel Sorgfalt in Stand gehalten hat. Zusätzlich wird das dadurch untermauert, dass alle originalen Betriebshandbücher in fast neuem Zustand, sowie das originale und vollständige Werkzeugset, noch vorhanden sind.

Wie zu erwarten, ist die Mechanik ebenso gut gepflegt, da der Wagen seit Auslieferung regelmäßig kleinen und großen Wartungen beim örtlichen Porsche- Spezialisten unterzogen wurde. Der Motor springt sofort an und das originale Sportomatic-Getriebe arbeitet absolut fehlerfrei. Der Wagen hat Dank des trockenen Klimas in Südkalifornien eine fantastische Karosserie-Substanz.

Der Wagen besitzt ein Porsche-Echtheitszertifikat, das originale Betriebshandbuch und eine Sportomatik-Broschüre sowie Wartungsaufzeichnungen ab 1973, Wagenheber und Werkzeug.

This is an exceptional, unrestored, and totally original, 1969 Porsche 911 E Sportomatic.

A California car since new, the first owner had ordered this car from the factory for Tourist Delivery. After spending some time driving around Germany in his new 911 E, he brought it back to the states and drove it cross country to his home in Southern California. A couple years later he offered the car to a neighbor who had fallen in love with this exotic sports car next door, and would come over frequently to admire it when it was out of the garage. The neighbor finally did purchase the car from him in 1971, and it would remain in his ownership until recent years, when he decided to sell.

This is as original a driving 911 as one could ever hope to find. The engine and transmission are numbers matching of course, and the very well preserved interior is original down to the last thread. Most remarkably, however, is the excellent condition of the original Bahama Yellow paint. It is immediately apparent from the notable preserved condition of this vehicle, that the long time custodian of this vehicle was a compassionate caretaker. Further evidencing this fact, the car comes with all original books in like new condition, the original and complete toolkit.

Of course, as one might suspect, the mechanicals are correspondingly well maintained, as the car was regularly taken in for both minor and major service at a local Porsche specialist since new. The engine is eager to start, and the original Sportomatic transmission works absolutely flawlessly. The car has typical SoCal metal, not a spot of rust to be found, even in the typically problematic areas on these cars.

Accompanied by a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity, the original owner’s manual set and Sportomatic Brochure, in addition to service records since 1973, as well as jack and tools.
