This exceptional 2.2S is one of only 729 Targa 2.2S units produced and one of the few delivered in Portugal. The car was sold new by Guerin on November 26, 1969, in black (code 1010) with black leatherette seats.

Its first owner was the proprietor of a well-known Portuguese casino. The current owner has kept this rare 911 for over 12 years, during which time the Targa underwent an extremely thorough, no-expense-spared, concours-level restoration costing over €120,000. Nothing was left to chance, and the entire process is fully documented, having been completed in 2025. The bodywork restoration alone required more than 1,000 hours of labor, and the original engine was completely rebuilt, including a brand-new set of original MAHLE cylinders. The engine retains all factory specifications and, to this day, has never required re-machining.

As a result, this Targa is now in fully original configuration, with all factory options confirmed by its certificate of authenticity, including:

• 425 – Rear window wiper
• 429 – Fog lights
• 438 – Porsche script on the doors
• 463 – Blaupunkt Köln radio
• 568 – Tinted windows
• 978 – Engine protection

Particularly noteworthy are the rare options 438 and 978 on a Targa.

With only a few kilometers driven since the restoration, this 2.2S can confidently be considered among the finest examples of its kind. It is offered for sale in concours condition, in its original color combination, and comes with its matching-numbers engine, tool kit, spare wheel, and all Fuchs wheels correctly dated to 1969. Also noteworthy is the complete history file, including photographic documentation of the restoration, service book, and owner’s manual.
