Beschreibung
The Porsche 996 (built from 1997 to 2006) had little in common with its predecessor and was the first all-new chassis platform since the launch of the first 911, as well as introducing a water-cooled engine for the first time. Technically it was a very big and innovative change from the original design of the 911.
When it comes to the design, a lot has also changed, the main changes being a slimmer profile body, with a more sloping windshield and "starry egg" headlights, so called because of the integrated amber turn signals, instead of of the more vertical beetle-type headlights. Also the interior has been completely redesigned.
Turbo versions of the 996 were presented at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September 1999. They use a 3.6-litre, turbo-charged, water-cooled flat-6 engine, developed from what was used in the 24h-winning Porsche 911 GT1. of Le Mans in 1998. With 420 horsepower at 6,000 rpm and 563 Nm of torque, all-wheel drive and, in this case, with the traditional 6-speed manual gearbox.
This 996 Turbo is in good condition and all the Service was preformed at the official Porsche Dealership, as evidenced by the Service Books.
