The Mercedes-Benz SL 63 AMG is an elegant coupé-cabriolet. This sporty roadster was introduced in 2008 as part of the SL-Class facelift. Under the hood is fitted an impressive AMG 5.5-liter V8 twin-turbocharged gasoline engine, delivering 537 hp and 800 Nm of torque.
The SL 63 AMG is equipped with the advanced Active Body Control (ABC) suspension and a multi-mode ESP system, both adjustable in three modes. Thanks to these technologies, the car combines sporty performance with exceptional ride comfort.
In terms of performance, the SL 63 AMG leaves little to be desired. The sprint from 0 to 100 km/h takes just 4.5 seconds, while acceleration from 0 to 200 km/h is completed in 14.4 seconds. The top speed is electronically limited to 250 km/h. The braking power is also impressive: from 100 km/h, the car comes to a stop in 35.8 meters with cold brakes, and even after just 34.0 meters with warm brakes.
The power is transmitted via a 7-speed automatic transmission, the AMG Speedshift MCT, which offers four shift modes: C (Comfort), S (Sport), S+ (Sport Plus), and M (Manual). In S+ mode, the transmission shifts 20% faster than in S, while in manual mode, shift times are just 100 milliseconds.

So much for a brief summary of what this behemoth can do and how long it takes, etc. Statistics are nice, but what really matters is the experience. And that has several facets. You don’t buy an SL AMG for the space or the fuel economy. You buy it with your heart. Because you’re a Mercedes-Benz enthusiast. Because you want performance combined with reliability. And you want a car that can be opened as well as closed, and looks very sleek in both forms.
The SL also needs to be understated in color, with black quickly taking center stage. The interior could be a bit more playful. And what complements the jet-black paint better than this beautiful dark red leather interior? A superior combination, especially when you also see all the materials used, such as beautifully polished aluminum and carbon fiber. The exterior, of course, immediately catches the eye: the beautiful polished and completely undamaged 19-inch AMG alloy wheels, fitted with the correct Michelin Pilot Sport tires.

The first, a Dutchman living in Switzerland, registered the SL on May 21, 2013, and ticked a lot of boxes on the options list. You can find the very long list in the “options” column. And all these nice features will, of course, also benefit the future owner. In 2014, he brought the car to the Netherlands as “moving goods,” keeping it until December 2020. It then passed into the hands of also true Mercedes enthusiast who, in addition to his SL, also owns a G-Class. However, circumstances can change, and therefore, a new owner is being sought for the SL AMG, which currently has 110.616 km on the odometer. A wonderful situation for a car of this caliber. Naturally, the car has had all its maintenance services precisely on schedule, and all booklets and invoices are present.
