Beschreibung

The model

Geneva, 1967. The Lamborghini stand attracted a crazy amount of attention as a concept car
designed by Bertone was unveiled to the public. Butterfly doors with glass surfaces worthy
of the most beautiful architect-designed villas, an entirely silver interior coming directly from a science fiction series, but above all, four real seats and a V12 engine. The Lamborghini Marzal
already foreshadowed the brand's future model.
A year later, at the same Geneva Motor Show, Lamborghini presented the final version of the
Espada. It completed the range, which at the time consisted of the 400GT 2+2 and, above
all, the Miura.
The bodywork of the Espada, like the Marzal, was designed by the Maestro Marcelo Gandini, who was working for Bertone at the time. The car is low and sleek, but offers plenty of space inside for four passengers and their luggage. Today, the design of the Espada is still absolutely mindblowing, and is considered as one of Gandini's true masterpieces.
The engineers did not have to look far for the mechanics, as they used the same engine as
the Miura. Naturally, as the car had a different purpose, the engine was installed on the front, very low, and was slightly modified so that the Espada could reach 6,500 rpm instead of the Miura's 7,000 rpm. The Series 2 and 3, meanwhile, had more powerful engines with an additional 25 horsepower, bringing the total to 350 horsepower.
This car filled a real need for a sports car with four proper seats. It became the obvious
choice for anyone who owned a Miura, and eventually convinced even the most sceptical to
adopt a V12 from Santa Agatha.

The car

We are pleased to present you this Lamborghini Espada Series 3 from 1975.
Delivered new to Switzerland in this superb and rare combination of Oro Metallizzato with a beige leather interior, this car had only one private owner and was then acquired at the end of the 1970’s by a garage, which kept and maintained it until today.
This Espada has covered 60,482 km since it left the factory, which explains its exceptional original condition.
The engine and gearbox are with matching numbers, and the interior is absolutely mindblowing, beautifully preserved and still equipped with its original period radio.
The only thing that has been redone is the paintwork: the car has been resprayed very recently in the original colour to even out a difference in shade between certain bodywork
elements. without any bondo or filler, just a thin layer of paint.
the car is without any rust and was never welded or repaired underneath.

Today we are happy to offer this fantastic Lamborghini Espada for sale, in perfect original
condition and ready to drive any distance. It’s not just any opportunity to buy the smile
machine that is a Lamborghini with a V12, because this time you’ll be able to enjoy it with
your family or friends.
