FERRARI TESTAROSSA “MONODADO” 1987 – 390 HP
The Testarossa made its debut on the evening before the opening of the 1984 Paris Motor Show, at the famous Lido on the Champs‑Élysées. Beyond being a true icon of the 1980s and 1990s, the Testarossa is undoubtedly one of the Ferraris that most shaped Maranello’s history over the past 40 years.
It pioneered a new era of styling and design for the brand, created by the Pininfarina studio under the hand of the celebrated Leonardo Fioravanti. Its design featured large, dramatic side air intakes with striking longitudinal slats, an imposing rear section thanks to its wide stance, and taillights partially concealed behind a rear grille.
Powered by a splendid 4.9‑liter flat‑12 engine producing 390 hp, paired with a 5‑speed dogleg gearbox, it was capable of reaching an impressive 290 km/h.
This example is in excellent overall condition and remains completely original. It has only 35,000 km. It is a European‑spec early production model from 1987 with the sought‑after “Monodado” single‑nut center‑lock wheels (it is estimated that only 1,008 European units were produced in 1987).
It is presented in a rare and exclusive combination: Nero exterior, with a full leather interior, featuring a black dashboard and upper door panels, and beige lower sections, seats, and carpeting. It comes with all manuals and the service book. It also holds ACP Historic Vehicle Certification valid until 2027.
A major service was completed in 2023, including a full timing‑belt kit, all fluids (engine, gearbox, brakes), and all corresponding filters.
