Beschreibung
In 2002, Ferrari rolled out the 575M, conceived as the successor to the 550 Maranello. Engine displacement was increased to 5.75 liters, and a number of components were redesigned, including the air intakes, front spoiler, and headlamp clusters. These changes prompted the “M” nomenclature, which stood for modificata – Italian for modified.
This modestly used early production 575M benefits from regular maintenance and a short chain of caretakers, as demonstrated by a CARFAX Vehicle History Report. Delivered new to Ferrari of Long Island, the 575M was soon purchased by a Colorado-based enthusiast who retained possession until August 2011. The 575M eventually was sold to a collector in the western US, and in 2015 the car was treated to two major services at Ferrari of Denver, including a full belt service and a service of the F1 transmission, including a new clutch.
After passing to an owner in Albuquerque, New Mexico, in early 2016, the Ferrari was subsequently acquired by the consignor, who owns a major collection in the eastern US. This beautifully maintained and well-optioned 575M currently displays less than 12,000 miles of sparing use, and is accompanied by manuals and a tool kit in the proper leather pouches, a tire inflator, and a car cover. It offers modern Maranello performance and is almost certain to evolve into a future classic.
