The Model : Ferrari 456 GT

The Ferrari 456 GT was officially unveiled in September 1992 at the Palais du Cinquantenaire in Brussels, Belgium. The event was part of the celebrations for the 40th anniversary of the Francorchamps stable owned by Jacques Swaters, a famous Belgian Ferrari importer.

While its official public launch at an international motor show occurred the following year at the Geneva Motor Show, its initial unveiling took place in Brussels.

Designed by Pininfarina, the 456 GT was a significant model for Ferrari for several reasons:

It marked a return to a traditional front-engine, rear-wheel-drive layout for a 2+2 grand tourer.

It featured a powerful 5.5-liter V12 engine.

The car combined high performance with luxury and comfort, embodying the classic Gran Turismo spirit.

The Ferrari 456 has a top speed of around 186-192 mph (300-309 km/h), depending on the specific model (GT or M), with manufacturer claims and tests putting it just over 300 km/h, making it a fast 2+2 grand tourer for its era, capable of accelerating from 0-60 mph in about 5.2 seconds.

Produced through 1997, with the GTA (auto) appearing later (commonly cited as from 1996).

Series 2: 456M GT/GTA (facelift)

The 456M brought aero/cooling tweaks + a substantially revised interior (and detail changes like the fixed rear underbody spoiler vs. the earlier deployable arrangement), while keeping the basic concept and V12 format.
