Beschreibung

One of the 158 officially imported UK RHD cars
Long term enthusiast ownership provenance
Autokraft conversion and one of the best
Delivered new to first owners Mr and Mrs FN David Parker.

The car into the care of Modena Engineering in about 1980 with 8,000 miles on the clock, in coupe form and in superb condition.

Richard Bond, a true enthusiast and direct of Modena at the time, had the coupe converted by Brian Angliss of Autocraft to spyder configuration for his personal use. It should be noted that many conversion's took place on rather tired examples and this car was the exception to the rule. Alongside Scaglietti who converted the handful of original Spyder's, Autokraft were acknowledged as the experts in accurate Spyder conversions.

Richard Berry - a great friend of Richard Bond was the registered keeper of the car - although it is understood that ownership was shared between them. As both were directors of Modena Engineering, the car was maintained by Modena untill the car was sold via David Clark to Keegan industries, one of the corporate vehicles of the Keegan family, who had made their money as owners of British Air Cargo. The car was transferred to Jeremy Keegan (brother of Rupert) in 1986, in whose ownership it spent the next 20 years. In the 1980s this well known trio of brothers, Jeremy, Rupert and Rory were well known for both their motoring exploits with Rupert also a Grand Prix driver. At the time the Keegans were known as the fast-living boys around town, always with a string of beautiful cars and even more beautiful women accompanying them.

This particular Daytona, Jeremy Keegan's personal car for over 20 years, could probably find its way to the South of France blindfolded as it was his favourite long distance touring car, undertaking this journey on many occasions.

Rardley serviced the car untill about 2000 from which time Legends performed service duties.

The previous owner acquired the car in 2007 and has looked after the car well over the past 14 years and the car drives as well as it looks.

We have just had the car painted in black with a black retrim as a homage to #14371 - one of the original 7 RHD factory built Spyders that we sold to the Sultan of Brunei for £1m back in 1989.
Ready for events or fast touring to the South of France.
