Fahrzeughistorie:

Der Citroën DS, französisch für Göttin (ausgesprochen klingt „DS“ wie das französiche Wort für Göttin: „déesse“), erschien 1955 als viertürige Limousine. Zwei Jahre später kam die äußerlich weitgehend gleiche, technisch aber einfachere Version ID hinzu. Das stilistisch und technisch außergewöhnliche Auto galt bei seiner Vorstellung als Sensation. Neben der eigenständigen, von Flaminio Bertoni entworfenen Karosserieform gehörte vor allem die hydropneumatische Federung zu den Besonderheiten des front-getriebenen Fahrzeugs. Bereits vor der Premiere der DS-Limousine stellte Flaminio Bertoni Überlegungen für eine Cabriolet Version an. Erste Skizzen Bertonis gehen auf das Jahr 1954 zurück. Dieses Fahrzeug wurde zwischen 2015 bis 2019 auf die heutige Cabriolet Form fachmännisch umgebaut. Gleichzeitig wurde alles technisch und optisch restauriert, sodass diese Göttin perfekt und fahrbereit für entspannte Ausritte bereitsteht. Ein sehr exklusives und außergewöhnliches Fahrzeug.

Vehicle history:

The Citroën DS, French for goddess (pronounced “DS” sounds like the French word for goddess: “déesse”), appeared in 1955 as a four-door sedan. Two years later, the ID version was added, which was largely identical in appearance but technically simpler. The stylistically and technically extraordinary car was considered a sensation when it was unveiled.
