BMW built a total of 30,546 of the E9-series. This is the most rare of the lot, the BMW E9 2.5 CSA, with only 244 sold in 1974/75. Only 143 left the showroom in 1975 the birth year of our car.

This example was originally supplied in Switzerland and has been in the Netherlands since 1994. The car has only had three careful Dutch owners.

The bodywork therefore looks good with only a few light blemishes. The alignment is correct and the panelwork nice and thin. The brightwork is also very neat. It also has a sunroof that functions with ease and is watertight. The car has a fantastic “Granatrot” metallic finish. The 2014 respray has held up really well.

In 2015 the inside was completely refurbished in keeping with its original spec and still looks very good. Dashboard, instruments and controls are all in fine shape.

Of course it is all about the mechanicals with a BMW. Happily we can rapport this BMW E9 has shiploads of “Fahren am Farhen”. The 2.5 CSA is a car made for touring. The E9 2.5 has a 2.5 litre straight-six attached to a three speed automatic. The engine develops 150 Ps and gives a peak performance. The car has only clocked up 58,528 km and is in peak condition. The car was perfectly maintained by its previous owners with lots of preventative maintenance having being carried out. All this pays off when you are driving. The automatic shifts supplely, the brakes are responsive and the suspension provides the car with its lovely handling.
