Powering the Vanquish is a hand-built 5.9-liter (5935cc) V12 engine, producing 460 horsepower and 400 lb-ft of torque. This gave the car impressive performance for its time, with a 0–60 mph time of around 4.5 seconds and a top speed of over 190 mph. Power is delivered via a 6-speed automated manual transmission operated by paddle shifters—an innovative feature in the early 2000s.

The Vanquish utilized a bonded aluminum and carbon fiber chassis, developed in part with Lotus, which kept the weight manageable and improved rigidity. Adaptive suspension and advanced (for the time) traction control systems helped manage the car’s considerable power.

The cabin combined hand-crafted luxury with modern technology. Leather, aluminum, and carbon fiber filled the space, while the digital-analog instrument cluster and early-generation infotainment reminded drivers of its turn-of-the-century origins.
