History
Few cars are as desirable as a characterful Alfa. In this respect, the Giulia Spider is truly crème de la crème. This 1600 crossed our path 10 years ago, giving you a clear idea of how lovingly it has been cared for—because that’s what Prins customers do. We still remember the original ad text perfectly:
"Picture this: a clear blue sky at sunrise, a pleasant temperature, and a gentle breeze providing just the right amount of cooling. The sunlight glinting off the water onto your sunglasses. A quiet, winding mountain road leading you past the most charming Southern European fishing villages. Which car fits this scene better than the famed Giulia Spider?"
The current owner had the convertible 1600 overhauled in 2017—specifically, the engine and gearbox. Shortly thereafter, we saw the Alfa in action during the second edition of the Prins Tour: from Nice, via Barolo, to Lago Maggiore. It’s clear the current owner drew inspiration from that journey…

Exterior
Unlike the angular 4-door Berlina models, the Giulia Sprint (non-GT) and Spider versions are a subtle, tasteful evolution of their predecessor, the Giulietta. The younger Giulia Spider stands out with elegant details, including the ‘mail slot’ hood opening for extra cooling. Finished in Bianco, the pure character of this super-charming, touchable classic shines through. No frills, just pure beauty. Even today, the rounded Alfa Romeo Giulia Spider is considered a genuine style icon. Interior
The interior is just as authentic and tasteful. Its charm offensive begins with three aluminum double-spokes on the black steering wheel, complemented by a simple, classic instrument panel and charmingly quirky interior mirrors mounted on the dashboard. The Nero leather seats have been fully restored by us, preserving the original look and feel. Because you certainly wouldn’t want to tamper with that…

Mechanics
As the model designation suggests, the Alfa Romeo Giulia 1600 Spider is powered by a 1600 cc engine. The roadster has four cylinders, all of which were overhauled by us in 2017. The gearbox was also serviced, ensuring the transfer of 92 horsepower from the Twin Cam engine to the rear axle is as smooth as possible.
