History
The great advantage of an original Dutch, excellently maintained example with only 3 owners is that its history is fully documented. It all began in 1972: the first owner was offered a generous travel allowance by his employer. The deal? For a few months, he had to fly twice a week to Marseille. We can imagine less enjoyable things…
Yet, being a car enthusiast already back then, he made a counterproposal: to use the travel allowance to purchase a vehicle with more style than any other mode of transport: an Alfa Romeo GTV 2000. Indeed, this man chose to spend hours driving twice a week from the Netherlands to Marseille and back, rather than taking a few short flights. Well, you’re either a true enthusiast—or you’re not.
In the meantime, something special blossomed between the two. The many, time-consuming journeys were experienced with great joy for years. Until he became so attached to his Alfa that he decided to store the car for safety and only drive it occasionally.
Eventually, we sold the car in 2016 to its 2nd owner: a loyal client, on whose behalf we delivered it in 2019 to a true Alfista. This gentleman immediately took the GTV with him to Goodwood during our Prins Tour.
The car comes with a complete folder of documentation.

Condition
The direct result is that the GTV 2000 was in truly sublime condition when we added it to our princely collection in 2016. Its next owner managed to raise that exceptional condition even further: among other things, various rubber parts were replaced by a specialist after drying out. More importantly, everything is still completely original! From the rock-solid body to the dazzling Verde Muschio Chiaro paintwork (the most beautiful shade of green we’ve ever seen!) and the flawless, tight interior. Pay attention to details such as the PrinzSound radio with Philips speakers; as if stepping into a time machine! Only the driver’s seat has been reupholstered, but of course entirely in the original manner, including the tasteful Cinghiale Maremma shade.
Furthermore, the passenger seat and rear bench are immaculate, the stunning dashboard is intact, and the headliner remains in particularly neat condition. All in all, a meticulously maintained, wonderfully handling GTV with a rare history and full of emotion. The absolute pinnacle of rolling art, covered in Italian charm that could warm even the coolest of hearts. And the best news is yet to come: it’s for sale! Ready to create new memories.

Design & Engineering
The GTV 2000 is based on Alfa Romeo’s legendary 105/115 Series Coupés, designed by none other than Giorgetto Giugiaro. As its name suggests, with a 2000 cc engine, the GTV belonged to the more powerful versions of Alfa’s success series.
This range was one of the first major projects by coachbuilder Bertone, a project that instantly put the Italian top designer on the world map in the 1960s. And we certainly understand why…
The 2-door Gran Turismo Veloce (‘Veloce’ meaning ‘fast’) was built between 1971 and 1976 and stood out both technically and visually from its siblings. One very recognizable feature is the revised front: a striking chrome grille with horizontal bars.
But nowhere does the ‘upgrade’ look as stunning as on this ‘one of a kind’ Alfa.

Upgrades since 2019:

Alfaholics fast road suspension kit B (lowered 2 cm) including new springs, stabilizer bar, and Bilstein (yellow) shock absorbers all around.
Interior fully refreshed during the Corona period: everything was removed, cleaned, or renewed.
New veneer on the dashboard.
Bluetooth connection added to the existing classic radio.
New speaker installed under the original PHILIPS speaker-cover on the rear shelf.
New insulation under the center console + new carpeting.
New rubber seals in both doors & all side windows.
