In the mid-1980s, given the growing interest in scooters, almost all motorbike manufacturers took steps to offer one or more products in this category with their own make. Benelli was not insensitive to this and, in 1985, presented its idea of a scooter, called the Laser, with a single-cylinder 2-stroke 50 cc engine, a sleek and futuristic wraparound body and 10” wheels. It remained in production until 1991. Restored and presumably never used since. A general mechanical check is recommended before use.
